Extreme Family Outreach is an intensive community-based 501(c)(3) after-school and Summer program for elementary and middle school-aged youth. It sets itself apart by delivering a holistic approach to character building, providing interactive communication sessions, arts, music and citizenship teachings. You will find structured workshops and one-on-one mentoring.
Extreme Family Outreach brings vision and hope, currently along the Route 40 corridor. We are greeted weekly by 150 young enthusiasts who are ready to grow and learn. Often throughout the week we visit the home and families of those involved in our program.
Creating a future that is different from what their past indicated is possible as Extreme Family Outreach partners with local neighborhood programs. This initiative demonstrates that learning in the arts will help youth develop discipline and help create problem-solving communication skills. Fostering creativity and team-building skills will help to increase self-esteem, which is an all-important foundation for success in school, employment, and personal relationships. It will also produce contributing citizens.
Our Programs Provide Participants with a Multitude of Opportunities:
- Learn to have fulfilling relationships
- Help children discover their gifts and talents
- Learn to choose supportive friends
- Acquire and practice the tools to be effective in school and to see school as an opportunity to create their future
- Work with a mentor who is committed to their success
- No child goes hungry! Each family receives a bag of groceries from the Harford County Food Bank
